Management Team
André Louçã
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
André Louçã graduated in Computer Science from the Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal. He later specialised with a Masters’ degree in Artificial Intelligence.
He has been in the software development industry for more than 10 years, where he spent the majority being CTO in tech start-ups with a specific focus in Machine Learning.
He is passionate about combining the bleeding edge technologies in Machine Learning with highly scalable computer systems.
André joined Correvate in 2020 as Chief Technology Officer and has been responsible for the technological strategy, leading the technical team and being a key player in the product development. In light of his great achievements, André was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2022.
Dr Charles Thomson
CHIEF PRODUCT MANAGER
Charles was part of the original research team that spun-out of UCL to form Correvate, he is now the Chief Product Manager of the Vercator Cloud. He interacts with clients and is involved in the assessment of the technology in Vercator, linking it to market needs.
Charles' doctorate was achieved in UCL's Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering Department. As part of his PhD he implemented new capture technology, developed point cloud processing software for geometry processing and sat on both an industry working group for survey and participated in the research group scoping the future direction of BIM level 3. Along with academic publications some of his work has appeared in Wired magazine and GIM International.
Charles has been with Correvate since it's inception in 2017.
Lewis Waugh
CHIEF SALES OFFICER
Lewis qualified as an Architectural Technician from Bath Spa University in 2003. After qualifying and working in the UK, he moved to Australia gaining valuable experience in the industry. In 2008, he transitioned into residential property sales applying his construction knowledge from architecture.
Over the next 15 years, he has been successfully building high performing sales teams and brings a wealth of business development acumen and strategic capability to Correvate. His time within architecture, a global leader in automotive testing systems and more recently with a sensory technology organisation has imbued him with a deep understanding of 3D data related challenges, particularly around point cloud processing and digital workplaces.
Lewis joined Correvate in July 2022 and is responsible for all sales related activities.
